Homemade Sugar Coral!

For Riley's birthday cake I wanted to add coral as part of the decoration. Isomalt is usually what is used to make sugar sculptures. It's horribly expensive and if you mess up, your done. I found a recipe using just sugar and water and ice. I think it turned out really cool.

Hello Little Mermaid!!

My daughter asked for a Little Mermaid cake for her 6th birthday. I hope it meets to her satisfaction. Everything is edible except the characters.

St. Patrick's Day!!

Traditional Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Cupcakes drizzled with gold gel frosting and sprinkled with gold sugar. These were for Kevin's St. Patrick's Day class party. I put each cupcake in a gold box decorated with shamrocks.

Orange Creamsicle

I have been dreaming of creamsicles recently and found a recipe for Orange Creamsicle cupcakes. With some tweaking and additions, I think these turned out great. I brought them to a parent meeting and they vanished pretty quickly!! The frosting is a vanilla bean frosting.

High Hat Cupcakes!

I have been itching to make these for a long time. They looked so good, but I have been intimidated to take this on. Turns out they weren't too hard to make and they tast delicious!!
