Dinosaur Cake & Cupcakes

This cake was made for a 4 year old birthday boy. His mom gave me the dinosaur pan to make the kids cake and then asked for cupcakes to go along with it. Cupcakes are chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, topped with buttercream "grass" and a dinosaur egg- an ultimate malt ball. It seems I am all about malt balls this week.

Kindergarten Graduation Cupcakes

Chocolate Malt Cupcakes with chocolate malt buttercream frosting. Topped with a very cute graduation cap made from a malt ball and flattened tootsie roll. I cannot take full credit for the cap- a very good friend from school helped come up with the idea. Thanks Charleen!

Around the Clock Bridal Shower

This cake is modeled after the bridal shower invitations. The cake is a white cake with the top layer a lemon curd filling and the bottom layer raspberry. I also did cookie favors to match! I love these colors!

Thank You Sisters!

Every year St. Alphonsus receives a group of nuns from the SOLT Society. They spend the year as aids in the classrooms, working in the extended care room as well as doing many other wonderful things for our school. After they complete the school year with us they move on to their final studies in New Mexico. We are always so blessed to have them, and wanted to say Thank You for being so loving and wonderful with our kids.

Farewell Keegan!!

Birthday!

A very special friend always orders cakes for her kids and her husband, and I thought she deserved a birthday cake as well! I made a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and fresh strawberry filling. Her daughter decided she needed the strawberries and flowers and I took it from there.

Italian Dinner Dessert

All I can say is oh my god! I saw this on a blog I sometimes follow, Cafe Coco. It looked so good, and perfect for this event. It's a Rich Chocolate Cake filled with Chocolate Mousse, topped with Italian Meringue Buttercream and chocolate covered strawberries. So Good!!!
