Another Thanksgiving Birthday!
Kevin's friend from school is having a birthday on Thanksgiving as well. His choice of treats and cake is Hot Wheels. "So Cool!" as Kevin would say. I have 40 treats for class and again, really hoping beyond hoping there is school tomorrow. :) The cake turned out so great, but will post pics of it tomorrow after delivery. Here are pictures of the chocolate covered rice krispie treats with the hot wheels logo I made for the kids. Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
A very dear friend at school is lucky to have her birthday on Thanksgiving and I thought it would be fun to surprise her with a special "Thanksgiving Meal" Mash potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots and a turkey leg! All that's missing is the pumpkin pie!!
Hoping beyond hoping I can get these to her due to the arctic blast we are encountering here in Seattle.

And Finally.. Pre K Halloween Cake Pops!
Scary Cake Contest at St. Al's!
It's Halloween and we can't go to school without entering our cakes in the Scary Cake Contest. Kevin and Riley helped with the cakes. Kevin added the pumpkins and of course the worms. Riley was very happy to place the worms coming out of the skulls nose, ears and eyeball. It was a fun afternoon of scary cake making!

Busy Couple Weeks
It's been a busy couple of weeks with cookies and cupcakes. Margarita Cupcakes with Tequila Lime Buttercream, milk chocolate covered cake balls, Fall inspired cake pops and for the Boy Scouts, chocolate chip m&m oatmeal cookies and chewy peanut butter surprise cookies. All so yummy!!
This weekend was about a traditional Korean 1st Birthday party with red, yellow and blue mini cupcakes arranged in the shape of a Korean fan and "hanbok" cookies made to look like the little guys ceremonial outfit.

Farmville!!
I have been asked to post my Farmville Cake on my blog for awhile now and I am finally getting around to doing it. I did this back in April for a very good friend's 8 year old daughter. Everything on this cake is edible. My favorite part of this cake are the animals. All hand sculpted down to the curls on the sheep. This was a fun cake to make even though it took hours upon hours!

Lessons learned....
A good friend requested I make her husband a birthday cake resembling his 1970 Nova. This is my 3rd car cake and I was feeling pretty confident, until I started carving. As you can see the cake does not resemble a Nova. I think it still looks good and it is all hand carved, just not a 1970 Nova. My friend still liked it and it tasted delicious, so I'm happy.
Thanks as always for looking!!

Mini Cupcakes!
I have had 2 orders of mini cupcakes in the last month and of course didn't take any pictures, however I thought I should post something anyway! Both orders of 100 mini cupcakes I decided to experiment with flavors. I love trying new flavors and so far I haven't been disappointed. For the first order I did white cupcakes with a tangy lemon buttercream frosting, chocolate cupcakes with a caramel buttercream, and finally, chocolate cupcakes with a white chocolate chip buttercream. My personal favorite was the lemon cupcakes. I added crushed up LemonHeads to the buttercream so it had a bit of a crunch and that extra tangy lemon flavor. Yummy!!
My second order was for a housewarming party with a southwest theme. I decided to do a Margarita Cupcake with a lime buttercream frosting, Red Velvet Cupcakes with a white chocolate cream cheese frosting, and finally a Chocolate Chili Cupcake with chocolate chili ganache frosting. Again, my personal favorite as well as the kids favorite was the Margarita Cupcake. It was so moist and so light it melted in your mouth. The lime flavor was intense but not overpowering. Don't worry, no tequila was used in producing these cupcakes!
Both orders were a huge success!!
